Temperature damping of magneto-intersubband resistance oscillations in magnetically entangled subbands

چکیده

Magneto-intersubband resistance oscillations (MISO) of highly mobile 2D electrons in symmetric GaAs quantum wells with two populated subbands are studied magnetic fields tilted from the normal to electron layer at different temperatures $T$. Decrease MISO amplitude temperature increase is observed. At moderate tilts decrease consistent Dingle factor due reduction lifetime high temperatures. large new regime strong suppression Proposed model relates this entanglement between subbands, leading beating oscillating density states. The yields corresponding damping factor: $A_{MISO}(T)=X/\sinh(X)$, where $X=2\pi^2kT\delta f$ and $\delta difference frequency states subbands. This agreement experiment. Fermi liquid enhancement

Damping of Coherent Oscillations

Damping of coherent oscillations by feedback is straightforward in principle. It has been a vital ingredient for the safe operation of accelerators since a long time [1,2]. The increasing dimensions and beam intensities of the new generation of hadron colliders impose unprecedented demands on the performance of future systems. The arguments leading to the specification of a transverse feedback ...

Damping of Injection Oscillations

The increasing dimensions and beam intensities of the new circular accelerators and colliders impose special demands on the performance of injection and transverse feedback systems. Injection errors blow up the emittance of a beam. The emittance increment with active feedback depends on the combination of injection error amplitude, tune spread and extra damping (above the needs for stability) b...

Temperature and magnetic field dependence of radiation-induced magneto-resistance oscillations in a two-dimensional electron gas

In the last two decades, specially since the discovery of the Quantum Hall Effect, a lot of work and progress has been made in the study of two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) and very important and unusual properties have been discovered when those systems are subjected to the influence of external AC and DC fields. Recently, two experimental groups[1, 2] have announced the existence of vanish...

Low Frequency Oscillations Suppression via CPSO based Damping Controller

In this paper, the Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is enhanced with a Chaotic Particle Swarm Optimization (CPSO) Damping Controller in order to mitigate the Low Frequency Oscillations (LFO) in a Single Machine Infinite Bus (SMIB) power system. The designed damping controller is an optimized lead-lag controller, which extracts the speed deviation of the generator rotor and generates the out...

Nonlinear Damping of Injection Oscillations

General analytical procedure for determination of the transverse feedback system parameters with a nonlinear regime of injection oscillations damping in circular accelerators and colliders is described. For this feedback loop the dependence between the kick value in the deflector and the beam deviation at the pick-up location is a nonlinear function. The beam dynamic nonlinear equation of the t...
